SEAS: Society for the Education of American Sailors
Sail on the scenic Hudson with SEAS Westchester! We’re a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization, teaching safe sailing for 30+ years — for first-timers and experienced sailors alike. Learn more about our classes, and the physical demands of sailing here. SEAS Westchester is based out of Kingsland Point, Sleepy Hollow, NY, offering beginner sailing classes, ongoing instruction, group sails, and social activities throughout the year.
For 30+ years, we've been training sailors along the mighty Hudson River. Based out of Kingsland Point Park in Sleepy Hollow, New York, SEAS Westchester is a non-profit dedicated to affordable sailing education and recreation. After completing our Basic Sailing Course (or veteran sailors passing a quick test), members can sail our fleet of Sunfish and Phantoms at “open sails” during weekend outings and select weeknight “sunset sails”!
For only $269, our summer basic sailing courses provide classroom and on-the-water training, as well as annual membership for season-long "open sails" and social events. All equipment is provided - sailboats, rigging, lifejackets, and motorized safety boats! Learn more about our classes and the physical demands of sailing here.
Experienced sailors are also welcome to brush up on skills and share their knowledge! Veteran sailors and past students pay only $80 for annual membership to sail with us all season. SEAS is best value on the Hudson!
