About seas

For 40+ years, we've been training sailors along the mighty Hudson River. Based out of Kingsland Point Park in Sleepy Hollow, NY. SEAS Westchester is a non-profit dedicated to affordable sailing education and recreation. After completing our Basic Sailing Course (or veteran sailors passing a quick test), members can sail our fleet of Sunfish and Phantoms at “open sails” during weekend outings and select weeknight “sunset sails.” We also offer education classes on a 28’ keelboat that we keep in Ossining, NY. Members may also access this boat to continue their sailing experience.

Our summer basic sailing courses provide classroom and on-the-water training, as well as annual membership for season-long "open sails" and social events. All equipment is provided - sailboats, rigging, lifejackets, and textbook! Learn more about our classes and the physical demands of sailing here.

Experienced sailors are also welcome to brush up on skills and share their knowledge! Veteran sailors and past students pay only $80 for annual membership to sail with us all season. SEAS is best value on the Hudson!
